Aromatherapy to Ease Morning Sickness

Various authorities consider the essential oils of citrus, such as lime, orange, grapefruit, mandarin and bergamot to be safe and effective for use during pregnancy for relieving morning sickness. These essential oils may be diluted with carrier oil for bathing as well as sniffing a couple of drops from a cotton ball when feeling nauseous. Peppermint essential oil may be sniffed or infused in tea for sipping to relive nausea, while also assisting in raising your level of energy. However, you will not want to over use such oils as ginger, peppermint or spearmint, although they are safe and effective, they do feature a very strong smell that may cause you to become more nauseated. You might also be interested in using other oils such as rose, chamomile or lavender as massage oil.
